Laptop was fine. Closed laptop lid to leave for the office. Opened back up for a moment and the screen was cracked. Nothing was left on it when closed, no harsh closing or opening. Perfectly normal use. No one else was in the area for the couple minutes it was left closed either.

Thanks Chris_D13. Working with Apple now to figure out what happened. Been seeing a number of these cracked screens showing up in search results. Most seem to have had a camera cover. No cover in this case, nothing on the screen at all.

I think the buyer should be told how awkward it is to put the watch on. Especially seniors, which I am. The rubber is difficult to snap together and the very first time I put on the watch ,it fell face down into the counter cracking the screen. It still works, but now I put a towel down and lay my hand on it while trying to snap the band on. take some time to make this suggestion when selling it or try a senior designed band. this was a present and the giver did not get any insurance on the product , so I now just tell everyone how this happened. And to maybe just get an alternative after checking the band. KInd of scary to watch the heart rhythm monitor on a cracked screen.

Apple might have solved top half of iphone screen or bottom of iPhone screen not working problems in other versions, and the new features can only be effected through an update. However, the newly released version like iOS 15 can also result in this problem. Hence updating your iPhone to the latest version could solve this problem and also cause this problem. You can give it a try. And if you have already updated the iPhone to the latest iOS 15, you can go to the next method.

how can this be fixed? Whats wrong with my iphone?
